LLU School of Dentistry celebrates five years of successful PNAM augmented cleft lip and palate repairs with a reunion of young patient/alumni

LLU School of Dentistry celebrated five years of cleft lip and palate corrections with an October 24, 2014, reunion of the preschoolers who have benefited by the procedure known as Pre-surgical Nasal Alveolar Molding (PNAM). It was a gathering of alumni, five years old and younger, at Loma Linda University Health’s Centennial Center, surrounded by their loved ones and members of the LLU School of Dentistry Department of Pediatric Dentistry and the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Craniofacial team that is enabling these children to mature without the stigma of a facial deformity.

Jason Joo receives ADI's Terry Tanaka Humanitarian Award

Hooker, PhD, former LLU School of Dentistry associate dean for Student Affairs (1994-2008), received the Gale Kloeffler Award for his outstanding service to the California Dental Associations’ Well-Being Program during the CDA’s annual meetings in San Francisco, September 4-6, 2014.   Dr. Vixie (left) celebrates with Dr. Hooker his Gale Kloeffler Award. Dean Ronald Dailey, PhD, and his wife, Karen Winston-Dailey, MD’88, joined Korean School of Dentistry alumni and students Tuesday, September 2, 2014, for a meal at the home of Sung Joo Park, MD’95, and Nancy Park, DDS’00. Steven Morrow appointed assistant dean, Advanced Dental Education

Ronald Dailey, PhD, Dean, LLU School of Dentistry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Morrow, DDS’60, MS’85, as assistant dean for Advanced Dental Education.   Dr. Steven Morrow Having taught future oral healthcare professionals at LLUSD since 1965, Dr. Morrow is currently a professor in the Department of Endodontics that he chaired from 1987 to 1990. LLUSD receives large check

For its cooperation with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program, Loma Linda University School of Dentistry received a substantial grant for using, adopting, and implementing axiUm Certified Electronic Health Record and for meeting the criteria set by the State of California to provide patient care to 30 percent Medicaid patients based on overall 2012 dental school patient volume.
