Surveys of a combined 6,957 San Bernardino kindergarteners and first graders conducted by Marjorie Arnett, MS, assistant professor of Educational Services at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, between 2013 and 2015 revealed that less than 10 percent owned tooth brushes, five percent did not have toothpaste, and 25 percent reported tooth pain.
