Community Based Dentistry

Community Based Dentistry is the soul of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Our school motto, "Service is our Calling," says it well.

Service requirements

Service to others is built into the curriculum. Students must complete the following hours before graduation:

• Predoctoral students: minimum of 120 hours
• Dental Hygiene students: 60 hours
• International Dental students: 60 hours

Service opportunities

Students have many local community opportunities. They can also join more than 20 international mission trips each academic year.
