When students start out in the research program, the first task is to choose a topic of special interest. From there students can design a project and write a research proposal. Upon approval of the proposal and the budget, students carry out their research under the guidance of their mentors. Once the project is completed, the data is analyzed and interpreted. Students will have opportunities to present their research in various settings such as the LLU One Homecoming, CDA/CDHA, AADR and other national meetings. Publication is the final step for a research project, and then the research cycle can begin again.
