Dean Dailey meets with Korean dental students/alumni
By School of Dentistry - October 28, 2014
Dean Ronald Dailey, PhD, and his wife, Karen Winston-Dailey, MD’88, joined Korean School of Dentistry alumni and students Tuesday, September 2, 2014, for a meal at the home of Sung Joo Park, MD’95, and Nancy Park, DDS’00. Thirty students were treated to a wonderful Korean meal along with Dean Dailey’s advice about how to succeed in dental school.
An LLUSD Korean contingent gathers around Dean Dailey with his wife, Karen Winston Dailey, MD (holding hands), and Dr. Euni Cho.

For many years the School of Dentistry has welcomed applicants from the Korean community, accepting up to 40 Korean students for classes of roughly 100 and nearly half of them women. There are now 111 Asian and mostly Korean faculty (ranging from full-time to voluntary) on staff at the School, teaching both in the classroom and in the clinic.

Following Dean Dailey’s remarks, Euni Cho, DDS’95, director of Educational Assessment and Curriculum Development, and Priscilla Choi, DDS’96, assistant professor, Restorative Dentistry, presented him with a donation from LLU Korean alumni. Dr. Cho encouraged the students not only to study hard and do well in school but continue to be positive role models for Korean young people. She also urged them to excel in their careers and to support generously the School that is making possible their professional success.
