Synopsis
Make implant surgery as simple and predictable as possible by learning how to digitally plan and 3D print a surgical guide, which can help you place your implant as precisely as it was planned. This is a hands-on course in which participants will have the opportunity to plan an implant placement digitally along with the construction of a surgical guide. Digital planning is becoming a very important aspect within implant dentistry, and through this technology we can ensure the most ideal implant placement possible for each case. Armed with a CBCT (DICOM) and an intra-oral scan (STL) we can enter the digital workflow and plan the entire surgical procedure including implant placements well as prosthetic restorations. Attendees will gain experience in digital planning and will interact in the LIVE 3D printing of a surgical guide.
Objectives
At the completion of this workshop participants will:
- Become familiar with software and hardware options to get the most out of digital dentistry
- Learn how to export data from a digital plan to a 3D printer
- Learn how to input data into a 3D printer for fabrication and post-processing of a surgical guide
