LLUSD receives large check

For its cooperation with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program, Loma Linda University School of Dentistry received a substantial grant for using, adopting, and implementing axiUm Certified Electronic Health Record and for meeting the criteria set by the State of California to provide patient care to 30 percent Medicaid patients based on overall 2012 dental school patient volume.

The check for $680,000 was presented to Dean Ronald Dailey, PhD, on July 3, 2014.
 

LLU School of Dentistry 2014 graduate honored again

Shortly before his graduation from LLU School of Dentistry senior Matthew Enns, DDS’14, was the honored recipient of a Student Scholarship Award at the Annual Luncheon for the Southern California Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy during the CDA Anaheim convention (May 15-17).

Eric Chen awarded $5,000 Dental Trade Alliance Foundation scholarship

Loma Linda University School of Dentistry’s Eric Chen, D4, was one of four students chosen from among American dental schools in 2013 to receive a $5,000 scholarship toward tuition and fees from the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation. The student recipients were honored at an April 9, 2014, dinner in Arlington, Virginia, for the scholarships that recognize and provide financial support for third- and fourth-year dental students who have demonstrated academic excellence in dentistry, financial need, and a commitment to community service.
 

Dean Dailey celebrates sbX opening

In a blending of his roles as School of Dentistry dean, Loma Linda City Council representative, and member of the Omnitrans Board, Ron Dailey, PhD, was on the dais in downtown San Bernardino Tuesday morning, April 22, to congratulate on behalf of the Omnitrans board, its chair, Alan Wapner, and the Omitrans CEO and general manager, Scott Graham, and his entire team on completion of San Bernardino Express (sbX), the Inland Empire’s first rapid transit line.
